According to old Irish legend, Ireland was first called the Isle of Banba. Banba was an old Irish goddess of legend. These ancient Celtic myths were the inspiration for Moseley to name the magical realm she created “Banba,” as The Delaney series was written in part to homage ancient Irish legend and folklore.
